Department of Aquatic Products

Kahta Vocational School of Fisheries Program was opened on 21.10.1997 under the name of Harran University. On September 15, 2000, the Trout Farming Facility in Net Cages with a capacity of 30 tons was put into operation in the Atatürk Dam Lake Kahta Old Port Area in order to enable the students to practice. It was the first M.Y.O Aquaculture Program to have a Licensed Aquaculture Enterprise. The program was named Fisheries Department in 2004 and was included in the Technical Programs Department. Kahta Vocational School was connected to Adıyaman University with the law number 5467 dated 01.03.2006. In 2012 by the Council of Higher Education Department of Fisheries Vocational School all located in Turkey's student quota is reset last chapter education students who graduated in 2015. In the same year, the breeding license of the Trout Breeding Application Facility, which completed its 15-year productive life, was canceled by G.T.H B. Fisheries K.K.M.
