Banking and insurance systems, which play an important role in meeting these requirements, also contribute to the development and progress of economies. On the other hand, the phenomenon of globalization has brought an international dimension to banking and insurance activities, allowing the product and market to diversify. These developments in finance and insurance have increased the importance of the sector and the need for qualified employees who are well-trained in these areas and can think globally and act locally. This situation brings with it different opportunities regarding issues such as job finding, career and development in banking and insurance fields.
The main goal of our expert and experienced staff is to contribute to the training of personnel with field knowledge in banking and insurance; to inform entrepreneurial, innovative and talented individuals about the opportunities in the field. We are waiting for students who want to train and develop themselves in banking and insurance, and to take advantage of the opportunities in the field.
General Information of the Department
The main purpose of the banking and insurance program is; To train qualified, effective and efficient intermediate staff for institutions, organizations and professions such as finance and capital markets, insurance companies, insurance agencies, insurance experts Our Banking and Insurance Associate Degree academic program is four semesters and covers a total of two years. Courses are given with a minimum of 30 ECTS in each semester. In terms of graduation; Being successful in courses with at least 120 ECTS in the total of four semesters, having sufficient level of compulsory internship, having a GPA of at least 2.00 and above, and not having unsuccessful courses.
In our program, intensive field courses are given. The main purpose of this is to inform our students about banking activities, international banking transactions, economy, business management, financial products and services, financial calculations, insurance transactions, risk and damage management, banking and insurance law and accounting of transactions. Our graduates; Capital market brokerage houses, banks, insurance companies, insurance agencies, international audit companies, credit analysis and public finance institutions, leasing companies, companies can have employment opportunities.
Banking and Insurance Program is a program belonging to the Finance, Banking and Insurance department, which was opened within the Kahta Vocational School in 2013. It is a program that has been in high demand since its opening and has a high occupancy rate every year within the quotas determined by ÖSYM.
